Aims and Objectives of Takura Children’s Home
Takura Children’s Home is located in Hauna Village in Honde Valley,
Zimbabwe. Honde Valley extends from the eastern border of Zimbabwe into Mozambique. The valley is part of the Eastern Highlands. The valley is about 81 miles from the City Mutare (fourth largest in Zimbabwe), or 68 miles from Nyanga. The Nyanga Mountains and the Nyanga National Park forms the western boundary of the valley.
Construction started in early 2021. The most recent pictures were taken in November 2022. The stage of completion is approximately 75%. Presently, we are having an electrician installing cables. Next, windows need to be installed, painting of the inside and outside, and a wall needs to be built to protect the premises.
We believe that all children are loved by God. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s heart for the fatherless, and James 1:27 makes very clear the mandate to care for orphaned children to His glory. We believe that one of the responsibilities of God’s people is to care for widows, orphans, and those who have been marginalized by the economic and social systems of the world. It is to that end that we come alongside the body of Christ to support orphanages and children’s homes.

We aim to meet and guide the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of orphaned children by providing them with love, nourishment, faith, and education so they may grow to contribute to society and achieve a promising future.
